Anyone following Edmund's long term test blog?
 
Edmund's has their own 2012 Wrangler Sport mod project going on along with the usual long term test driving reports. Has anyone else been following this?: 2012 Jeep Wrangler Archives - Long-Term Road Tests

I found the fact that the Wrangler comes equipped with an Event Data Recorder to be an interesting note so far.

Scott Jacob's fuel economy with 6 speed manual & 3.21 gears in quotes: "In total I drove 1,174 miles during which time I had a good mix of terrain and surfaces. During my Mojave off-roading, I averaged 14.7 mpg. During a long stretch of freeway from Tahoe back to LA, I got 21 mpg. My best tank range was 315.2 miles. For a vehicle that's shaped like a brick, and a tall one at that, I think that's pretty good. I think the new engine does make a big difference". :popcorn:

I think Edmunds does the best long-term road tests, but even theirs is weak at times. Someone could make a good living doing hardcore, detailed long-term vehicle testing.
