Where are the used winches?!?!

I have owned my 97 wrangler for about a year and i love it. I am now looking to add a recovery winch but i dont have tons to spend. I would like to pick up a decent used winch to save some $, but i have only been able to find new ones for sale (even on ebay). I am about ready to give up on the idea, but i decided to join a forum first, thinking that someone may be able to help me out. Any info would be great, like a website or something. I have spent hours online and i can still only find high priced new winches. Any ideas???

Man I wish I had gone to BJ U!

Best bet would be craigslist or the local pawnshop. Bet I've only seen 2 or 3 in the last year of the 2 forums I'm on.

Welcome aboard. Best forum around.

i have a cheap winch like this one or this one.

i have a 12.000 lbs model.
it´s a bit louder than a friends warn and a bit slower. but it does it´s job without overheating or any other problems.

:wavey:

installed it looks like this:

Means Buffalo in American Indian. But yeah, wierd. Just be glad you don't have to spell it all the freakin time when you have to tell somebody where you live. My street name is just as bad.
