I have a 92 wrangler. Its got some rusted out holes on the driver and passenger side around the JEEP emblem. Im wantin to fix it myself.any advise on supplies to get. ive heard about this new stuff called KITTY HAIR, its like bondo but it has fiberglass strands in it suppose to be alot better but any advise would be helpful.

They sell replacement rocker panels on c2cfabrications.com. That's where I bought mine. I used a die grinder and a welder. Oh and a tape measure. I still have to bondo it to make the surface even. Never heard of kitty hair though.

i thought about sand blastin all the rust off and cut the holes out square and takin some screen and puttin it behind the holes on the inside of the body and fillin it in with some bondo. yeah i know sounds crazy but thought i could make it work

It's not like patching Sheetrock. Kitty hair has been around a long time and it's mainly used for beefing up fiberglass structures from the back side where it won't be seen. It's a mess to sand and will still need body filler over the top to make a surface finish. I'd be concerned about it sticking to the metal tub. I think it would really pop completely off due to the amount it flexes. Too much bondo is a really bad thing. If it were me, I'd cut it out, piece in a new section or get rocker guards.

It will until you start taking it off road. With the flexing of the body it might pop it out.
