Drivetrain question

I've had my 2001 TJ since August, and I love it. I bought it right with 57,000 miles, 6 cyl., 5 spd., soft top. Too bad the weather isn't going to let me go topless much longer.

I think in the spring I want to move up a couple years and look for one that has the straight six and the six spd. What is the last year that combo was available?

I think I'd rather have the straight six, unless there is a good argument for the V-6.

Talk it out.

Thanks.

You already have a straight six, there is no such thing as a v6 tj....

2004 to 2006 had the option of the 4.0l with the NSG370 trans (6sp)

2006 was the cut off year for the inline six/6spd overdrive tranny.
2007 TJs got the mini van V6s....haha
