Do u have a 5'0 GF/WIFE and a standard Jeep?

Hey Jeepers,

Anyone have a 5'0 tall wife or gf (or if you're a chick that tall) and a standard Jeep?

I'm looking at two TJ Jeeps, one is manual, I read someone that someone 5'0 has difficulty reaching clutch in Jeeps (it may have been JKs I don't know).

Can someone confirm or debunk this by having them sit in it, etc. The jeep is like 2 hours away, hate to get there and have that issue.

Thanks

i GF is 5 1 and she drive my TJ just fine. I am 6 4 and i wish the seat went back more

BLK00TJ 10-30-2011 03:16 PM

No, but I had a girlfriend that was 4'10" that had a jeep. She had no problems at all.

Awesome, thanks for responding, bro - I'm 100% sold I won't have an issue. =)

My 5'-0" wife drove an 02 TJ auto, an 05 LJ manual, and now a 10 JK auto. Floor controls were not a problem, but she did use a seat cushion on the TJ & LJ for more seat height.......

WaterDR 10-30-2011 04:14 PM

Don't forget, it's not the height but how long your legs are. If someone if too short there are ways to fix that.

there's a jeep in that video? :D

My girls 5'3" and our TJ has a 4" lift, no probs with getting in (though it is a bit funny, w/o stepsides) and she has no issue with the clutch.

fishband 10-30-2011 05:06 PM

Jason, check into the Misch brothers big boy seat bracket..I'm 6'3..wife 5'2 and seat adjusts perfectly for either on of us...one of the best mods I have put on my tj..

arcountryboy 10-31-2011 08:38 AM

My wife is 5' 1" short legs and she can reach the clutch just fine with the seat all the way up.

srad600 10-31-2011 10:59 AM

Its been answered but just confirming. My wife is 4'11" we have a 6" lift on 35s. In and out is funny but driving is no issue. Seat risers would be better but she's fine.

Jake 7757 11-01-2011 02:16 PM

My wife is 5'-2", 05' Rubicon, no lift, w/auto, seat moved forward.
It's hard to keep her from driving it...she loves it!

True, but those human growth hormones don't work very well past the teen years.

Just find a manual TJ in a local lot and let her test drive it.

I'm 5'1" and adding a 1" seat riser made a huge improvement for me.
