Which muffler? long arm?

What muffler are you guys using with the long arm kit? I heard theres not much room in there. I guess i need something small?

Banks Monster cat back Monster exhaust (Click Here) has worked for me. Only additional thing I'd suggest is to not worry about adding the tip on the back...it'll get beat to hell if you take it to the rocks.

My muffler guy found a resonator for a 1991 Geo Prism that fit between the skid plate and tub. Sounds alright too! Plus, because he had had it on the shelf for 10 years, he gave it to me for $20.:punk:

I believe mine is a Cherry Bomb.

tobycat1 10-05-2007 04:59 PM

You can fit a glass pack on there no matter what if you like the sound:)

Do those glass/cherry mufflers sound good? Loud? I just had a 50 series flow master installed 50 miles ago :-( Its off now.im going to see if the muffler shop can use it but if not thats why i was asking around.

I went with a Cherry Bomb on mine. It take up hardly any additional room.

If they cant fit my flow master in then i will need to get one of those installed.Seems alot of people are using them too.

tobycat1 10-05-2007 11:05 PM

Flowmaster is much better. this will be louder than the 50, and not as deep. Also when you get it the revs up and let off the pedal a lot it will make that back put-ting noise. It will keep your power up though, its almost free flowing. If you fear waking the neighborhood, this is not right for you.

i don't care a lot for the sound of a glasspack...a hushpower is about the same size...yet the glasspack is a lot cheaper and it doesn't sound that bad

Gwjvw 10-06-2007 11:11 AM

I might just buy a 40 seriers i think its a hair smaller.

Triple88a 10-06-2007 01:25 PM

Gwjvw, how did you like the 50 series? Is space the reason for removal? I have a 50 delta on mine..

Any one has a soundclip of hushpower on Wrangler? From what i've heard hushpower makes jet husshhhing sound..

tobycat1 10-06-2007 02:53 PM

The 40 may not be enough of a dif...

Gwjvw 10-06-2007 05:17 PM

Install a 2.5" tail pipe.. it will make it louder.. if thats still not loud enough remove the entire tail pipe. check my setup though.. i think its a bit loud since its such a short pipe but if its full pipe i think it should be perfect.
