Need help in picking the right jeep.
I'm new to the forum and need help in picking the right jeep.

I will have about 15K to spend at the most. need to use it for some snow plowing in the winter and run around with doors and top off in the summer. Very little off roading except hunting, no rock crawling etc.
Twice a year long (1000 mile ) hunting trip. Some hwy use at 70mph.

What is the major diff in the TJ and JK, good and bad points.

Thanks so much in advance.

first major difference is the transition for the legendary l6 4.0 to the v6. I would imagine it hard to find a jk for 15k$ just bought a used plow for 1500$ for my stock TJ and it is incredible it holds its own offroad and pulls a pretty consistent 80 mph without effort. just a note if you plan on getting a plow I would recomend a poly blad to save on weight on the front end. I added about 250lbs of sand in the rear and it doesn't slide at all in the snow. Good luck hunting and enjoy it

Thanks, any difference in the ride, suspension?

Hard for me to say as I haven't driven a JK for any real difference but they do have a nicer interior and more room. I assume they ride nicer on the highway aswell.

For the money I would go with a TJ. Lots of good used ones out there depending on where you live. In my area you can find quite a few for under $15k and still under 40k miles. Good luck!

Look at the TJ's. I just picked mine up for 11k with 66k on the odometer, was lifted with 33's and a system already installed. That'll leave you some to play with if you want to add on to it afterwards (which you will.) Just be sure you haggle well or take someone that does.

1000 mile trips? Is that round trips or each way. They aren't that comfortable on long trips. That may just be me, on road trips I run it non stop F-E. no problems with the ride or highway power, they are just a little cramped.

If I was you I would get a beater 4x4 for plowing and get a tj for fun
