So I got my 2012 2dr jk less than a month ago. Today was the first day it really rained hard. When I stop short water pours out of the back outer coners of each side. I can go through car washes no problem and I ran a hose over it and nothing leaked through.should I bring it back to the dealer or am I doing something wrong?
Okay, that was both childish and counterproductive.
Some jeeps leak. IMO it's usually because your top, hard or soft, was not properly replaced. Your use of the word "pours" raises red flags for me. Even if there's damage to your seal, it should not pour.
If it's the hard top have you removed the freedom panels at all? If so, ya sure you seated them properly and they're tight? Not to tight, but tight enough?
one thing on the freedom panels is not to over tighten the 2 large " wing nuts that go up through the sound bar.. making them to tight causes the front to lift and water will get under them and find its way onto you as you drive.. i have found over the last year,, that just making them snung is all you need,,, also remember to keep the rubber clean,, use a good sillycone made for rubber. jmo
