BFG KM Mud terrains in winter?

I just bought a 2012 Unlimited Arctic, and it came with the BFG KM, How do they do on the road in winter? (ice) I know there is no siping so am I in for an "exciting" drive to work when we get some snow? Let me know if you have ran them in winter Thanks.

btw I love the new Pentastar motor, nice change from the lame 3.8

Last Winter was my first Winter season with my JK. She handled the blizzard up here like a champ. I'm really not understanding everyone saying the BFG KMs are no good in the snow.

Thanks I definately will take it slow in the ice anyways, just haven't heard a whole lot of reviews on them for ice, I just started coming to this forum and after a little searching I see more people who have had some great winter experience in their Jeeps with them.:thumb:

I am looking forward to seeing how these tires work as well. Just got an Arctic myself. Loving it so far.

The lack of siping is an impediment for braking and cornering grip on ice or under greasy conditions - in deep snow they work great. Check out how many dedicated snow tires lack siping....pretty much none that I'm aware of.

I havent been impressed with them in the winters we have here either.

I haven't owned but reading up doing mah homework this tire gets consistently good marks from Jeepers for ice and snow, and all around too.

BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

I've used the BFG A/T KO's before around in Utah in the snow and ice, they work incredibly good I just wish they made a 35X12.50R17 in it, still not sure why they don't make it in that size....

Just had a set of snows mounted up on my 2012 today, picked up a set of steel rims taken off a 2011. Figured that I could get around on the MT tires fine, but the snows will cut down on my miles on the MT and keep my rims looking nice. Why wreck the good stuff over the winter with the salt was my thought.
