good idea?

this doesn't look half bad...

put this on and remove tcase drop yet remain vibe free...so you gain back your 1/2" or 1" of clearance (depding on amount of drop) yet you don't get vibes...too good to be true??

discuss :D

go a head and try, but that is one expensive tranny mount if you tear it.

i know someone selling one for $90...i don't think i'd have any problems with it....if i did i think it would be a while.

I believe that this mount is meant to be used with an aftermarket skid. It also requires a SYE and new driveshaft. You will also need adjustable control arms to make it all work. While in the long run it's a good approach, I don't think this mount by itself is a "fix" for a lowered transfer case set-up.

It says it can be used with the stock skid. Also I read the whole page and didn't see anything about having to use a slip yoke eliminator of new CV shaft. And I personally don't see why you would need adjustable shafts to make it work either?? Just looking for explanations so it would make more sense to me before I make a mistake buying it!!

My mistake..... I didn't read the description. I was going off what I was told by a guy who was selling one on e-bay with the 33 eng skid I wanted. I have an auto trans and the people at 33 eng said I would either have to buy an automatic trans mount or spacers. I asked if the manual trans mount could be used by itself and he said no. Said you needed to use it with their skid. I guess I didn't do my homework well enough. Based on their page, it looks like it will work for a tx case drop without the loss of clearence. Sorry if I caused any confussion.
