2000 TJ Heater Core Question

I have a 2000 TJ 4.0 and I've been reading a lot here about replacing the heater core. The price of an OEM is more than I can spend. I found one on craigslist for a 2000 Cherokee. I emailed the seller and he said it's OEM, but the add states that the asking price ($45) is half the cost of one new, which would put it in line with the price of an aftermarket one. The add has a picture, which I compared to a picture of an OEM core I found on this forum, and it looks OEM. So, here's my questions; Will a heater core from a 2000 Cherokee fit in my TJ? Also, take a look at this add and picture, it looks like an OEM core to me, what do you think?

Thanks!

Why are you wanting to replace it? Is it leaking? Not heating? My core was not heating so I flushed the radiator and core with radiator flush, problem solved. If the core is stopped up I would try to unstop
It. You could afford to spend a little extra time trying to unstop it because a core replacement is a big job. You could get a long piece of 1/4" plastic tubing, which is flexible, and gently push it through the core to try to unstop it. I hope you are successful in solving your problem.

New one from Rock Auto is $45 shipped...otherwise, yes, they are the same as the Cherokee.

Rad - It's leaking.

Do you think the one in the add is an OEM?
