I have a confession to make..
Did something sinful today!
I washed my jeep ~ BANGHEAD ~

Atthehop 12-02-2011 12:22 PM

Whats wrong with that.

Ageless Stranger 12-02-2011 12:23 PM

I feel guilty that I haven't washed my Jeep since I wheeled it last weekend. It's rained too much though. :(

TJWenatchee 12-02-2011 12:26 PM

Haven't washed mine since.........August. Of course If I did it now odds are the doors would freeze shut.:whistling: Only get about 8 inchess of moisture a year and most now is going to fall as snow if it does anything. Just clear and cold now.

I clean/wash/vacuum my Wife's 07 Jetta and the TJ every week... Dirty or not. Good habits are hard to break. Waxing and polishing done twice a year.

anc1108 12-02-2011 12:43 PM

I took the time to wash, clay bar, wax, and polish it at the beginning of the summer. The rain / snow can do the rest right? :whistling:

I think my Jeep is cleaner than my wife. :hide:

Sorry, I was just "getting even" since she thinks I wash my Jeep too often. Last night she said as I was geting the hose out, "oooh, got another speck of dirt on it?" She is just jealous I think. :thumb:

My wife gets jealous, too! Says I spend too much time on The TJ and not enough with her! Lol!

Got to agree with TnDz TJ - wash and clean out every weekend - good habits? nope just routine maintenance - you wouldn't let the dif fluid get dirty, or your oil - so why let the outside and inside stay dirty.

Remember cleanliness is next to ...........................sexiness

02sporttj 12-02-2011 03:15 PM

I thought that was what rain was for. A person is suppose to physically get the dirt off?

Do you stand in the rain naked to get clean?:whistling:

NEVERMIND!!! don't answer that!!! LOL!!!:hide:

OH COME AWN!!! You live in Cali!!! LOL! RAIN!?!?! WHEN!?!?! I lived in Riverside, CA for many years.... I can almost count on one hand the amount of times in rained.... sigh...

Granman 12-02-2011 03:54 PM

Havn't washed mine since I got it in 2006 :thumb:. I have done very little off roading with it so I dont see the need. I should wax it since the sun is killer out here, but it isnt even my car its my dads!

What makes it even more of a challenge is we dont have a full top so it would have to be spot cleaned, I mean who has the time for that?

jebby 12-03-2011 09:13 AM

nothing wrong with getting the mud off helps keep it from rusting..... now as for a show car wash with soap and wax and drying and all that crap no thanks..... i use soap twice a year when i take the hardtop off and when i take the soft top off lol......

i rinse everytime i go wheelin though

Mad Max 04 12-03-2011 10:15 AM

I work at a car wash and I lucked out that my boss loves jeeps so it doesn't matter how muddy it gets:). Mines gets washed damn near everyday and waxed every Sunday.

Badass_TJ 12-03-2011 10:27 AM

I spent about eight hours cleaning just the inside of mine last week, I took off all the roll bar padding (what a pain) i also layed down the windsheild for first time since i had the roll bar disconnected from the windsheild to remove the padding, it layed right down i thought the hinges would be rusted. also cleaned all the vents, dash, windows and the top..needless to say i wont be playing in the mud with no doors again.. used about 3/4 bottle of simple green, about a half bottle of armorall wipes and 2 rolls of papper towels......

Plowboy1970 12-03-2011 10:35 AM

I clean and wash mine all the time. Now when the girl friend steals it, which is all the time, she will find the mud and hit it!!!! She always said "a Jeep is suppose to be muddy"!!!!
