Sports Cage Installed

2 Attachment(s)
I've had my RockHard4x4 Ultimate Sports Cage installed for a few weeks now, but I'm just now getting around to taking some pictures to post.

When I received it, it was raw steel. I had it powder coated black before installation. The cage was a pain to install, but now that it is in, I'm liking it.

I've installed padding around all of the bars that are overhead to help prevent someone from bashing their head on the bars. You can also see my HotHead Headliners installed.

I chose to paint mine myself :banghead:. Needless to say that after the install it was scratched to crap and I had to paint a lot of the tan pieces in place! A pain was an understatement!! But like you said "liking it" ! Is your door plastic hitting the bar at the dash at all? Mine is actually marking the door panels and I may grind mine a bit.I cant adjust any more!

dvdsjk,

I love the look of the cage painted to match your exterior. Any pics with the top off?

Just this one inthe garage when I was doing the install. You have to wait till spring for more!!! Its snow covered up here right now!! But when the soft top goes on I plan on stripping the covers off the bars. http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/r...-42-35_521.jpg

I had one spot on my driver's side door that was hitting, but I used a shim/spacer to move the steel plate inward where the 3 bolts are installed in the door frame. I put the shim between the steel plate and the door frame where the bottom bolt hole was drilled.

Wow, I think all of these look great! Anyone else out there with pics of their cages?

Back to the drawing board! Thanks bo9roadking!

Nice cages. Personally I'm going to go with the or fab or poison spyder. Anything to beef the stock rolls though is a win.

Both the Poison Spyder and the Or Fab cages are nice. I was considering the Poison Spyder cage until I found out that it won't fit my 2012 JKU. According to the Poison Spyder and the Or Fab websites, they only fit the 2007-2010 years. If you have a 2011 or a 2012, RockHard4x4 cages will work.
