@ Pat at Fields Jeep

This was from a facebook post from one of my friends, about the new Fields Jeep in Florida

"Jennifer M.
Loves the new Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership in Sanford! They figured out the problem with my car in less than an hour. Greenway Dodge couldn't figure it out in 4 visits!"

Thought I would share that...

They have a new dealership here now? Good to know. I just recently swore off my current dealership because they were being all shady and posting fake 5-star reviews of themselves on Yelp.

BTW - employees at Fields BMW have been doing that as well, so I hope that behavior doesn't start at the CJD dealership. It's dishonest, unethical, and makes the entire dealership look bad.

I obviously can't say for sure if some of the BMW reviews are fake. I can tell you that we are monitoring those sites as more and more people use them to deicde where to do business.

The questionable ones are usually (eventually) filtered (you have to go through a couple of extra steps to view them). But looking at the filtered reviews, you can see how, for a period of a month or two, a new 5-star review was posted every couple of days, saying basically the same thing, by a new account that was registered just before posting the review, and has never had any other activity before or since.

I'm a regular user of Yelp, and Orlando has a pretty active (online and in-person) reviewer community, and we tend to be pretty sensitive to that kind of misuse of the system, because it gives everyone involved (including Yelp) a bad name.

That explains a lot. I don't have a yelp account. I hit that site to look at our reviews, but that's really it. I'll forward that info to the right person at BMW.

I registered at Yelp to solely to post my reviews of Fields CJD and haven't been back since. That doesn't make it fraudulent, just that it was their awesome customer service that drove me to take those steps.

I'm happy to share my opinion with anyone that is interested. Pat and everyone else that I have dealt with have done an awesome job.

Of course I'm not saying that they are all fraudulent when there's only one review. I'm saying that there are certain patterns that make it more likely. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just saying.

Take the dealership I used to go to. Almost every day, a new 5-star review would post with almost the same wording, and every single one would mention, by name, the exact same salesman who is apparently a god among men, if you believe these reviews. NONE of them ever return to review anything else.

I even contacted the salesman, politely informing him that the efforts were transparent, and that they'd be better served allowing the real reviews (like mine, which was good) to shine. I told him I liked the dealership and wanted to continue recommending it to others, but wouldn't be comfortable doing so when they were being unethical, "stacking the deck" with fake reviews.

He refused to stop, so I refused to return or recommend them further.

I'm not offended, just offering a possible reason for the pattern. I do agree if the wording is pretty much cut and paste then you kinda have to think it is the same person.
