Trouble starting

I've had my 2000 TJ for about 3 weeks now. I notice pretty often it takes several attempts to get it to start. Usually involves pushing the clutch down while turning key. Dash lights light up normal, just no attempt at turning over. After several attempts it usually starts right up. There is no clicking, noise, or anything when it fails to start. Any ideas???:banghead:

My first thought would be the clutch safety switch.

I'll look into it, thanks for the direction.

Have you had any luck?

also it might be bcause of the colder weather outside right now depending where you live, try turning the key all the way to just before you start it and wait a few seconds while the power kicks on and you can here the fuel pump turn on and prime.. then start it.
