Mines a 2 dr so pics won't help but looking at the installation PDF for a JKU it looks like when the sunrider is folded back, the fold is exactly at the pillar between the front and rear door which makes since because that needs to be an attachment point for the feature

See figure 14

I have been lurking and watching the reviews for the Trektop NX and want to pull the trigger soon....but I have a few questions; I figured since they have been out and on folk's jeeps for sometime now I would get some more insight:

1) If I have read/understand correctly, the back and sides are dependent on each other, so one cannot roll up the back and drive around with the sides on, correct? In other words, the entire back is either on or off, right?

2) the size and re-enforcing bar of the side windows make them impractical to remove and carry around in the back, (along with the rear window rolled up and stowed as per q: 1 above) especially without some sort of scuff protection?

3) After having the top installed for a couple of months now, how is the "hook & loop" material holding up? It always seems that the hook an loop material is the first to wear out (speaking from boating experience and the condition of my current Jeep OEM). Never been a big fan of velcro for these kinds of applications, but it seems to be a necessary evil.

In general, if you have the TT-NX, do you decide if you are going safari ahead of time and just leave the panels at home? or carry them with you?

lastly:

4) Has anyone tried to put a trail cover over the safari mode top? Specifically, will a besttop trail cover fit over the Trektop NX when in 'safari mode'? I am curious if the support bars of the Trektop would interfere with the fit of the trail cover...?

Thanks!!

Oh yeah...I have a 2007 Sahara JKU

i am curious about all of this as well. Also, can the top be completely removed and realistically be stored in the vehicle?

OK it has neen in the 70-80 range so i decided to install my Trektop NX on my JKU 4DR..........the directions say 1 hour to install????

I am an old (wise) man and it took me about 4 hrs (i did have to stop and a few breaks) But overall it was really great install except the Rear Bow it kicked my but!!!! It would help maybe to be a two man job for that one item.

I will post some pics and I have a few places that i need to pull down into the gutter track.........Hope someone has some tips.
