Cleghorn Run Sat Dec 31st

Hey All, Sorry for the confusion on the dates for the Cleghorn runs. Regardless, we will be hitting this trail (2N47) this coming Saturday (31st) and meeting at the trail head just off the Cleghorn offramp (right) at 930 (The exit before hwy 138 exit) The run will be 3-4 hrs depending on amount of participants, side trips etc. Should be great weather. Let me know if there are questions and hope to see you there. If your coming please let us know so we dont leave without you. Thx

suicideking 12-29-2011 04:39 PM

I'm in!

Please bring the compressor assuming you still have it?

yomondo 12-29-2011 06:23 PM

FYI, there's a small group from JK-Forum doing the same run, on the same day, meeting at the same time and place.

suicideking 12-29-2011 06:39 PM

We should combine groups! Any objections?

Btw, we should do Big Bear sometime soon too.

turdhurdler 12-29-2011 07:33 PM

I'm in. And if the JK group does not mind having a superior Jeep with square headlights hanging out with them, I am good with that also.

Jeff

BillG.OTD 12-29-2011 10:28 PM

Yeah, shouldn't be a problem...as long as there isn't 20 in their group...

suicideking 12-29-2011 10:46 PM

Cool, looks like 4 or 5 of them. I posted in their Cleghorn thread. It's weird having more than one forum for the exact same thing. I am on both and sometimes when looking for a thread, I can't remember which one it's on... :banghead:

I figure the more Jeeps, the merrier!

Hey gang, sorry to do this at the last moment, but I gotta back out. Was driving over to the GFs last night and the brakes did not feel right. Pulled the tires, almost to the rivits. My morning will be spent replacing the brakes. Have fun, be safe and post up lots of pics.

Jeff

MNTNGOAT 12-31-2011 10:43 AM

Im at the exit. Idk where exactly to go for the trail head (tan lj)

turdhurdler 12-31-2011 06:32 PM

So how was the run? Any pics? My break job turned into noticing a leak on my upper radiator hose so I replaced both hoses also. So, new rotors, pads, and radiator hoses. Not bad for a couple of hours work. And a beautiful day to do the work. Wish I could have been on the trail with y'all instead though.

Jeff

Great day wheelin...even though we didn't represent in the TJ category, we led the way all day...sorry you couldn't make it Jeff...nice meeting Coop...I will go through my pics and post. Let's hit Big Bear before the snow falls...maybe on the trip coop is looking to fill?

suicideking 12-31-2011 11:41 PM

I had a blast today! Definitely more fun now that it was my second run to the same place, so more fun and not as stressful. I will enjoy my new racing stripes. Hopefully nothing too permanent...

Jeff you were definitely missed!

Nice meeting you Coop!

Here are the pics I took:

Yeah, Coop is right, after the peak and "poser rock" you start decending. There are a few spurs (we didnt take them all) that have a narrow...I mean narrow valley through them (like reaching just your window to touch the dirt) we didnt have time to take them all....next time...Jeff (Turdhurdler) knows that trail better than I do.
