does bigger tires..?

does bigger tires change the angle of your driveshaft?

ou812 01-01-2012 10:09 PM

I dont see how thats possible

a lift will change your angle

I could be wrong.....it happens sometimes

subtlez28 01-01-2012 10:10 PM

No.

Only moving your axle by means of suspension or moving the TC will change the angle.

ok thanks. in that case im not installing a sye. its riding fine right now.

Just keep an eye on it and pay attention for vibes. 4" is right at the grey area for needing one...

Lbailey21 01-01-2012 10:17 PM

im at 5"... i do feel vibration when im at lights but im honestly not worried abt it braking. if it does..i'll beef it up

SirGeorgeKillian 01-01-2012 10:24 PM

Your sig says 4" of suspension. Body lift will not effect your driveline angels at all.

ou812 01-01-2012 10:39 PM

it wont vibe at lights man
if you will have driveline vibes it happens when the jeep is in motion

most cases people will have vibes occur at certain speeds or full time

Vibes mean that your rear u-joint is at too much of an angle and the u-joint wants to bind up,causing heat, friction and vibes.I read about vibes cracking t-tcases.

do you have 5" total lift or 5" suspension lift?

or a 4" suspension and a 1" bodylift?

I suggest a motormount lift just in case,a motormount lift can reduce vibes by slightly decreasing the rear driveline angle

Lbailey21 01-01-2012 10:42 PM
