1997 Sahara, Worth it?

I'm trying to get a buddy on here, Looks like a he has came across a great find. 1997 Sahara, 120k, 5 Speed, I-6, runs and drives, the girl (his sister) parked it after getting her new covertable Saab. The body is a little rough, its still sight unsceen. Know it needs a sway bar, brakes on all corners, little bit of rust, seals in the rear. but for $500 how can you say no. The WF knows more than I, So what do you think, well worth the investment?

pretty sure you could get $500 for a grill and doors. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that it needs to be purchased.

Why are you still here? Go buy it. NOW!

debruins 11-14-2007 08:05 PM

that would get around 6,000 here in MA

$500. drive it for a month and it is nearly worth it.

I will pay $500 for any rangler any year in that condition!!!!

Pretty much anything that can move under it's own power is usually worth $500, the fact that it's a Wrangler is even better. Figure out what it'll cost to get it on the road & drivable, add $500, and see if that is worth spending to buy it, if so, do it! Personally, if I didn't already have Lucy, for 5 bills, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

well get to go help pick this up later after work, might be able to snap a picture of it. So we'll see what $500 gets you.

foxinthemudd 11-19-2007 08:16 AM

hell I've paid more for parts for my TJ. so $500 is a steal! DO IT!

I'd say he got his $500 worth, he drove it home. just needs buffed, and the inside cleaned.

Looks good, especially for $500!!! Congrats! I've got a couple Sahara Tire Covers and some tan slush mats from my old Sahara, let me know if you're interested.
