2012 'Chrysler Tread Lightly' program

Has this program been renewed for 2012 ?

Up Hill Bill 01-09-2012 05:21 PM

Yes! I just used my TL membership to get a 2012 (expires 12/31/2012) Chrysler Affiliate Program control number today!

All you need is the Tread Lightly 'company code."

Do it here:

I just signed up today, and they took my money. You need to join for 3 years for $60 to get the special pricing.

kjeeper10 01-09-2012 07:25 PM

Yesssssssssss

Kelsey73 01-09-2012 07:30 PM

Others from Canada have said no. No Affiliate Rewards Program for Canada.

I bought a TL membership, and ended up getting a better deal through TruCar.
By almost a grand.

The great part about the TL discount is that it could be applied towards any deal you already have worked out with the dealer. They are reimbursed a portion of the discount afterwards so its a win-win for everyone. I also was able to combine it with the affiliate pricing given through the AAA membership. So dealers won't combine the discounts but mine did and I was able to negotiate and additional 1% making it 3% off invoice. Finally, he used the concourse lease rebate of $100 after taxes to bring my final price a little over 6% under invoice. There are several resources a dealer can tap into if they are motivated and willing to do so for you, the trick is knowing everything before hand and requesting it. Good luck.

One other thing regarding the TL discount. The site says that you need to be a member for at least 30 days before being able to obtain a code. I tried as soon as I got the packet and got the code without any problems.

Good to hear, I'm planning on bringing both TL info and my USAA info with me next week to hopefully get some sort of combo deal. I figure worst case I'm looking at just the USAA one and even then that's a really good deal with the flat $1000 off in addition to the 1%.

Matador 01-10-2012 03:28 PM

the $1000 off was from a concourse lease rebate. In order to qualify you need to have been leasing a competitors vehicle. I don't know if the rebate is still active. Also, note that its applied AFTER tax unlike the other discounts (USAA and TL) which should be applied BEFORE. Good luck.

flyinion 01-10-2012 06:37 PM

??? I think you're misunderstanding me, the $1000 I speak of is a USAA discount on select mfr's and Jeep is one of them. It's a flat $1000 discount in addition to whatever USAA normally would give you off the invoice.

JKatfish 01-13-2012 05:36 PM

Told the dealer that with the TL discount, i can get the 1% under invoice from any dealer i walk into and if he would offer 2% under i would do the deal and order my Jeep from them. If they had stock of what I wanted, I'm sure I could have gotten another 1-2% off, but it was worth the $60 memembership.

stevebanzai 01-13-2012 05:59 PM

anyone know if the goodyear rebate is renewed?

The code is on your membership letter. You must have that letter to use the discount at the dealer, so, you need to get in touch with TL somehow

I got the code off TLs website and my email for my membership was enough for membership proof.

Just purchased a new JKU yesterday with the TL program. It was a painless experience and well worth the $60 membership investment.

Where did you find the code on the TL website? I browsed but could not find where.

I am a new member but have not received the packet yet. I was hoping to be able to obtain the code before the packet came through snail mail.

lolpetewtf 03-06-2012 08:14 AM

Wow, it is $60. I swear I looked a month or so ago, and there was a $75 documentation fee or something??

The membership letter is the ONLY way you are going to get the company code. TL will not tell you over the phone even if you are a member. If you loose your membership letter, TL will replace it. That is the only way to get the code, BECAUSE IT IS CONFIDENTIAL. If it gets out to the general public, it could cause Chrysler to end their affiliation with TL.

Please stop asking! :thumb:

Edit: The statement somewhere above that the company code can be found on the web site is in error, you will not find it on the website, member or not......

IIrc the $60 goes to TL for their 3 year membership. TL gets the $60. The $75 is the documentation fee that the dealer is allowed to charge you when utilizing the TL program. The selling dealer gets the $75.

Makes sense - if there was a way to speed it up I was interested but I've waited 30 years to buy my second Jeep so I can probably manage a few more days:)

Bsears155 03-06-2012 11:06 AM

When did you join TL? They only send out packets on Friday (according to the website). I lucked out and ordered on a Thursday. Had my member packet the next Tuesday.

Now I just need my Jeep to come in.

Weiss 03-06-2012 11:10 AM

I didn't order until this week so I'll be waiting another week.

lolpetewtf 03-06-2012 11:16 AM

Thanks Celtic. I'll order mine today I'm sure.
