Hello guys and gals. My name is Luke and Im new to the forum today and relatively new to Jeeping. I am in dire need of some advice regarding my sway bar disconnect on my 07 Rubicon. In short, its not working and the light keeps flashing. Up until this morning it would actuate and occasionally engage/disengage. this morning however, it has failed to actuate or make even the slightest noise. The light is still flashing.
any advice would be greatly appreciated :surrender:
I dont want to push anyones products over anyone elses. However, if you cannot get the disconnect motor to work and it is completely shot Offroad Evolution (EVO) offers a manual motor (handcranked) that can be had relatively cheaply and replaces the disconnect motor.
Just a reminder that you probably already know about...When the electric/electronic thing on your JK get squirrly try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes to reset everything.
@ Kjeeper, I tried that as well, night before last. That's when it quit actuating all together. This morning I am going to try disconnecting the battery and hope for the best. I have a feeling Im up a trail with out a sway bar Thursday I am taking it to a mechanic to run some codes and hope we can get a starting point. Thanks everyone for all the advice.
Just remember the sway bar doesn't work in 2 whl drive, and when it's disconnected in 4 whl drive, it will automatically re-connect if you go over 18mph, and the light will flash
So I installed the manual Off-road Evolution. I must say, aside from basically neutering my Rubicon, it was a great, budget friendly fix. It works pretty damn well to! Not bad for $90 Thanks for all the advice
