Deal or no Deal?

Hi, I'm new to these forums and have been the proud owner of an '05 stock TJ for about a week now. I've already found myself wearing out the search function on this forum. It's been great.

So simple question, is this a good deal, fair deal, or rip-off? This is assuming that the installation is actually legit.

97-06 Jeep Wrangler NEW Rough Country 3.25" lift, MT 33's, DC2's

Thanks!

Are the tires new? Are they doing the install or are you?

The lift kit itself probably runs around 400. If the tires are pretty much new, I would say that is a good price for those tires and wheels.

You can also sell your stock tires and wheels for a few hundred to help offset some of the cost. I've done that twice so far.

I think if they are doing the install, its a good deal. The tires new will run about 250/tire, wheels 100/wheel, add in the cost of lift 400. That alone puts the cost at around 1800 without the install, taxes, shipping, etc...

If you have never taken your jeep offroad, I would recommend doing that while it is still stock. You can see what type of trails you like, which can help you decide on what updgrades to do.

Yes, it includes the kit, wheels, tires, and installation.

I probably won't buy any upgrades just yet, I was planning on riding stock for at least 6 months just to make sure I don't drop a bunch of extra cash on a possible lemon. (Had absolutely nothing but fun so far though)

I haven't had a chance to take it off-road as I've only had it a week and I'm in classes, lectures, studying and all that stuff for 60+ hours a week, which include extra-curricular.

That is a great idea to take it out while still stock. It's on my top priority list.

I also just found the lift kit review sticky thread which I have been studying while I should be paying attention in class!

Thanks!
