hello everyone.. im new to the jeep world and just recently bought a YJ this year.. 94 wrangler 6 cyl. 5 speed, 4 inch suspension lift with 2in. shackles, 33's slip yoke elliminator. tom woods drive shafts, warn 8000 pound winch, etc. anways i was wheelin behind my house and broke my front drive shaft:punk: haha.. replaced it with a nice new tom woods. ever since then, when driving my jeep on the road from a complete stop in 1-2 the jeep vibrates like crazy! thinking maybe the clutch is shot/fly wheel needs to be replaced? also when coming to a complete stop sometime it feels like the body of the jeep slides foward as the wheels and axles stay put.. idk just saying what it feels like to me.. then as i start to take off in 1st something in the drivetrain feels like it slides back to its normal place and makes a nock noise.. somethings gotta be lose.. idk if anyone could shoot me some ideas that would be great.. thanks

I would check the transmission mounts and the skidplate bolts. A buddy of mine had that exact problem, and he discovered that the transmission mount was literally disintegrated, and 5 of 6 bolts on the skidplate were either loose (less than finger tight) or missing.

finally sucked it up and worked on the jeep.. come to find out, my rear u-bolts on the axle were loose.. which were causing the vibrations..
anyone know the correct messurements were the axle should be sitin on the leaf springs? i measured from the leaf spring mount to the center of the axle and put both sides at 20 3/4. did i do this right?

There should be a bolt going thru the springs that hold them together. this bolt will then fit in the small hole in the spring perch which positions the axle correctly to the springs. If there is no bolt there it probably broke off and allowed everything to move around on you.
