Mirror Relocation

Just got my first Jeep, '09 Unlimited Sahara, looking to get a head start and the hardware to relocate my mirrors from the doors to the frame....Anyone got suggestions?? I keep coming across "Rugged Ridge" hardware.

Get another set of mirrors instead for when you go doorless. It's about the same price but it'll save you a lot of hassle

If you are going to relocate the mirrors RR is the way to go. I didn't want to bother with the hassle of another set of mirrors. You will have reduced visibility on the passenger side with the doors on. When they are off it's great. It won't work for the heated or powered mirrors, however.

I got the Langs & like them. I needed something I could use doorless & with my soft doors so something that sat in the door hinges was out of the question. It probably depends on what you need wether you will want new mirrors or relocation brackets for your Jeep mirrors or whatever.

The Langs:

Mirror brackets

Looking for original mirror brackets for my 09 Wrangler X. Anybody that has related theirs I would love to get your old ones.

Already gave mine away.

The 2 biggest problems with most mirrir relocation brackets is that:
  1. You have a hard time seeing the passenger side.
  2. They tend to be weak and shake so it's hard to see out of them.
If you are only getting them just to be in compliance with the law, then cheap ones will do. I use my side mirrors allot so when I get my tax refund this year, my next mod. is a set if DieTech brackets.

I'm planning on half doors with their own mirrors, but this seems like a great way to go. :thumb:
