a 4.0 engine rebuild
I've been asked by a few members about showing what was involved in building a 4.0. Well 3 came in the shop last week, 2 are stock rebuilds and one is going to be a stroker.
So today i grabbed my camera, got one of the kids to show me how it works and went to work.
This may seem kind of vague and i wasn't able to go into a bunch of detail.
And i know i didn't take Pic's of every thing. Sorry, i do this for a living and got to get it done.
I do have another one to build next week plus the stroked one. so i will try to revise this later.
I will try to answer any questions that yall may have.
But i not going to get in to a pissing contest on what better, this part that part, should of could of.

I know the shops a mess. I had a clean up guy but he also worked part time as the inventory reduction specialist.

Very nicely done! I just rebuilt mine along with the AX-15/5-speed. Took 0.014" out between the head and block for some extra compression in the holes when I get stuck. I really appreciate this very much! I know exactly what is involved in that and just want to say what a pain in the ass! Thanks for the pics. Keep up the good work!:thumb::wavey:

Not bad at all! What about for a 4.7L stroker?
