Installation?

Anyone know of any trustworthy and decent price place to install a 2" rubicon express spacer lift kit w/shock? I'm gonna buy it probably from 4wd.com since its really cheap with them but they want soo much more to install it and I can't afford that now.

Doesn't seem like it could possibly be all that hard to do... let me know when you get it and we'll get it installed.

thats it. and they have a 20% off on single item deal going right now. so it's like $400 total plus tax. they wanted almost $600 for labor xtra parts and wheel alignment.

A spacer lift isn't any different than a spring install. Set the frame on blocks disconnect the upper ca's and drop the axle. need to watch brake lines so that they don't over extend. Pull the spring install the spacer then the spring, raise the axle and reconnect the upper ca's. Front is more of a pain because the spacer has to go above the spring while in the back the spacer is on the bottom. Make sure you install bumpstop extensions before the spacers and springs. If you disconnected the breaklines, bleed the system and away you go.

Rubicon Express is a nice choice. Just be sure 2" is what you want so you don't want to go bigger later and double spend. Installation is a snap, about a 6 hour day.:thumb:

Im going with a 5" skyjacker lift from quadratec for 600. Which will be about 4 once I put the new bumpers and winch on. Like they say " go big or go home".

Mike, I gotta agree here. if you want to go with a full suspension lift later then this work will go away. if you saved a little longer you can get one. if 2" spacer are all you are going to want for a while we can surely do it.. just might want to Ponder for a few days. seems like you could get some used 31x10.50's off craigslist under you without anything which will help and then save for for a little while. but hey it's your rig... do what you want.. just my .02 worth.

Well I get my annual bonus in middle of this month so I was gonna buy 33" duratracs and the mb72 wheels the combo i like together. If i do this and the not do any crazy trail which im not close to ready for anyways I could get away with no lift just yet while I become 100% sure I guess on the size lift.

got mine from quadratec and everything is great. if you're planning on just this lift with 33s you won't clear it. added a 1.25" Bl to mine and everything is good

spacer lift isnt that bad to do.. Hour or so. your total toe setting will not change, just you steering wheel will be off center, very easy driveway fix.
