Is it necessary to switch from soft top to hard top. Will there be a lot of damage if the weather is cold, icy and snowing? If I don't have to switch tops due to season changes i'd rather not. Any suggestions or comments?:surrender:

You don't have to switch tops. I have had a my soft top for 12yrs all year round and just recently this last summer got a replacement top for the first time.

I wouldn't worry about damage. I think some people just feel like the hard top keeps the heat in better than a soft top. But the heater in mine is so hot I've had the top off mid winter and wasn't cold at all.
