RC 2.5 lift tcase drop question
For almost a year now ive had a rc 2.5 in lift and i put on the tcase drop when i did. Well now that im wheeling more i realize that the tcase drop (along with street tires -_-) are my biggest drawback, so i was wondering how many people are running a 2.5 lift with no drop? I know that every jeep is dif but before i go about doing this, if i still have the bolts, i want a general opinion. As always thanks and keep on wheelin :thumb:

Since you already have it installed.... you can remove it, and see if you have vibes. You will know if you do when you are under load. If you can 'feel' any difference ( you probably will) you can always install a 1" MML and leave the TC drop out.

The TC drop is usually about 1.25"... the MML is 1" if you need the .25"... drop enough washers back under the belly pan to get the .25"... you should be fine...

I have the t case drop installed. I took it off just to check to see if vibes occurred, and sure enough they did. So i re-installed it and they're gone again. But all jeeps aren't the same

one of my Jeeps has the RC 2.5 lift. The kit didn't come with a t case drop and I don't have one on. A little vibration but I'm not convinced it's from the lift. Most of the vibration was there prior to new tires and lift

I got away without the drop but I may be lucky...

I did the rc 2.5in lift also and had some vibration under load but rode good at cruzin speed. I bought the rough country transfer case drop kit and it fixed the driveline vibration, but now I have motor vibration. Any ideas why?

If you are getting small vibes with no tc drop at 2.5" of lift, be sure and check the condition of your t-case mount and u-joints before blaming the vibes on the lift. The slightly steeper drive line angle of the lift can increase the effect that marginally worn out parts have on vibes.
