ACE Engineering wide tubular fenders (stock width)

4 Attachment(s)
Here are a few pics of our wide tubular fender or stock width. We have had a lot of request for a wide version of our tube fenders. These pics are shown without the skin welded on but wanted to give a sneak peek as we head to production. We installed the stock bumper to better show actual width. These will be offered bare or our black textured powder coat finish. Thanks

so much awesome. you guys make bad ass stuff, can't wait to get my hands on these and the tire carrier! great looking width too, it's nice to have a company provide both options!

Couldn't find a link to your website in your Avatar or anyplace-had to google to find you. Can you put in the link so others can find you fast?

I can't wait for these to be released! Just what I've been waiting for!

While your at it, can you make provisions for a side marker light? I was thinking that you could open up the forward most support tube on each end and easily install one of the small, round, LED side marker lights like Pure Jeep or Metalcloak. The wiring could run through to tube into the engine compartment.

I have to ask - what purpose do they serve? I thought fenders were to keep crap from getting thrown up onto painted sheet metal.

the picture shows the structural part of the fender, it doesn't have the skin welded on yet. it just shows the shape and width. you might notice how neither the left or the right fenders or stock. the one on the right is the already in production narrow ace fender, the one on the left is the prototype full width :thumb:

Hatt-Attack 02-09-2012 08:26 AM

Aha - Thanks!

ESP 02-09-2012 08:33 AM

I gotta reserve judgment on these.

walker111 02-09-2012 08:45 AM

These might actually look good with my full width AEV bumper. What size tire in the pictures? When is the release date? Cost?

1CrzyCelt 02-09-2012 12:58 PM

What finishes will be available?

I dont think they will. The AEV bumper was designed around the OEM flares, i havent seen it look good with any others. Plus these seem to sit back a bit from the grill, where the OEM flares extend past it, so you will end up seeing a bit of the AEV bumper i dont think would look too good.

see the cut out in the bumper below where the flare is? with this flare that will be exposed.

Stubby Bumpers

:wavey:

Unlimited.Kev 02-24-2012 08:01 AM

I'm in the market for some flat fenders but definitely want the extended coverage, when do you think these will be availible?

rics1997 02-24-2012 09:19 AM

I see you said the fender will have a welded skin? I think it would be awesome for the skin to be removable for the trail. Then be able to attach the skin for the road for DD. Just a thought.

LBrito 02-24-2012 07:17 PM

Wouldn't you need them most off road? When you definitely will be kicking up rocks and trail junk. Not to sound selfish, but I'd get these to protect my own Jeep, not so much to prevent kicking up a few rocks onto a Smart Car on the freeway :)

Unlimited.Kev 04-12-2012 01:47 PM

Any information on release date for these? I'm looking to order some tube fenders this weekend.

OH9JK 04-12-2012 07:19 PM

Keep hearing mid-Spring so that should be anytime now.

Unlimited.Kev 04-12-2012 07:21 PM

It's between these wide or the River Raider's. These are a much better deal, but I need the width!

Casotakar1229 04-12-2012 08:22 PM

look pretty awesome. still waiting to see about those tube doors...no recent posts. or I'm just blind. either way, I haven't seen them.

I was thinking about getting their tire carrier and bumper combo, but their website says it weighs 190 lbs.

I would be ordering it right now if it wasn't that heavy

kramer2k 08-15-2012 12:22 PM

Any updates on the ACE wide tubular fenders?

And anyone running their regular tube fenders?

I'm interested in these and I'd like to see some other pictures.
I figured I'd bump this thread rather than create a new ACE tube fender thread.
