Help choosing a color
3 Attachment(s)
So I am down to the following 3 choices. I love them all but leaning towards the Rubicon models versus the Artic as I can upgrade the rims which I do like on the white Jeeps. Also torn if I go with the white to have black fenders or body color! I feel the crush fever coming on though.

Love your thoughts and I think the photos I have are all from dealers so I hope that it is ok to use!

All three are so different I can see why you're having such a tough time. I wouldn't go with the painted fenders and top of you plan on doing any off roading. So that leaves color vs black and white. Since you put up two pics of a white jeep I'm going to choose the black/white one for you. White = safe which indicates you may possibly get sick of the orange later on.

I like the white one in the middle. I got a White 2012 Sahara But I do wish I would have got the Rubicon.

Tell them you want a White RUBICON :thumb:

Overtrained 02-11-2012 09:12 AM

White with black fenders...... Im biased though :D

PittJeep 02-11-2012 09:50 AM

That Arctic is mean looking. Normally id agree with the black fenders but with the hood decal and the black wheels it breaks it up nicely IMO

MudRunner 02-11-2012 10:46 AM

Red!! Oh wait, that's not an option? Well then based on your selections I would go with white with black fenders. White is a safer color, but it doesn't stand out as much as the crush; just make sure you get a color you don't regret :thumb:

Ima say i like the white with white fenders it looks different, but i do love the orange color too. Well best of luck to ya and either one u choose youll still love it because its a jeep:)

JeeperJake 02-11-2012 10:54 AM

Pearl green/khaki.....oh...wait....did I say that out loud?

Whatever the color, I still have never quite adapted to the same fender/top color as body. But it's YOUR dime here....

For literally decades, "white Jeep" and "white Austin Healy 3000 MkIV" and "white Porche 356b cabriolet" was prominent in my fantasy life.

The orange/yellow variety Jeeps were interesting but I decided would fatigue my retinas before long.

Living in the forested Outback as I do, my choice is a close camo for the environment.

"Different color strokes for different Jeeper folks"

cheers on whatever you decide

Crush is a nice color, though its "loud" meaning you can definately see it coming. It is too vibrant of a color for me, but thats my opinion. I voted for the Arctic, I was thinking it was the bluish color though. I personally don't like the painted hardtops, looks too hummerish :hide: to me. You could always just get the White/black fenders and upgrade to the Bushwacker fender flares later and get them painted if you wish.

Comac90 02-11-2012 11:33 AM

white with black fenders. :thumb:

Personally, that was a very close second to my 'all silver' when I was choosing last summer. I love the contrast ...

White Rubicon Unlimited W/ Black Fenders and Body Color Hard Top. It sounds like you are going to change the wheels anyways.

Blackened 02-11-2012 11:47 AM

Crush or white with black fenders.

nrlemley 02-11-2012 12:09 PM

I personally like the Arctic. If you go with matching flares and/or hardtop, it leaves a cool looking contrast if you add lots of black in other places.

daggo66 02-11-2012 12:14 PM

Arctic isn't a color, it's a special edition that comes in a couple of different colors.

suicideking 02-11-2012 02:46 PM

I voted the white with black fenders. Definitely get the Rubicon over the Arctic!

KarlG 02-11-2012 03:52 PM

You're a man. Men don't ask other men, "What looks the best", they just go with what they think looks damn good and make others appreciate it.
Words to live by, that have helped me.

SilverSport 02-11-2012 06:20 PM

Crush with the black fenders. :D

C6Rubicon 02-11-2012 06:32 PM

Rubicon and Crush.......especially if your a Bronco fan :)

Macsrul 02-11-2012 06:38 PM

Great feedback so far and I am happy to say I got my car sold but it will take a few weeks to get the title from the finance company and then the state to get me a new one to then sell it to him.

Estimated time to my new Jeep 4 weeks and counting!

The white Artic does intrigue me but at the moment I can not find one near me to see and then on top of it the ones they can locate do not have side impact air bags!

I can's wait to see what I do and I know I am driving my wife crazy!

You are wrong – a Healy should be British Racing Green.
Former owner of an Austin Healy 3000 Mk III in British Racing Green with things like a Blue Printed Engine. Like a fool, a woman convinced me to sell it – I should be more responsible.
Also have owned a Ferrari Mondial t Cab in white with red interior.
Not bad for a poor boy who came from the wrong side of the tracks.
A Mondial t was used in “Scent of a Woman” and other movies (different color). I only drove it sometimes with my eyes closed.
Currently in the process of ordering a Crush Rubi Unlimited. Saw a Crush at the dealer across from USAA in San Antonio with painted fenders and a black top. It looked sharp and sold quickly.
Like the painted fenders but not available in a Rubi and probably not good off road.
Either a Crush or White would be great. Fun factor great on either.

BagerX2 02-11-2012 08:24 PM

You should get crush, completely unbiased opinion... Dont hate the stockness of it

sunnykk 02-11-2012 08:57 PM

White with black fenders would be my pick.

If you can get the arctic blue color on a SportS or a Rubicon, that would be even better.

The Crush is a bit too much Orangy for me.

desertgoose 02-11-2012 09:34 PM

I like white with black obviously. But the orange rubi catches my eye when I see one. There are a ton of white wranglers on the road... I couldn't decide between the two to vote for you.

Lane24 02-11-2012 10:41 PM

White with black fenders is my vote too.

GXB 02-11-2012 11:15 PM

The Arctic only makes sense if you like the interior, if the white trims and orange stitching leave your feelings neutral then buy a Rubi. I have painted fenders. Although they look nice, all shopping carts are my enemies. Wife's Wrangler has unpainted fenders, finding a suitable parking spot is a way lesser event for her.

suicideking 02-11-2012 11:37 PM

I usually end up going for which one has the features I want. I'll usually have 3 colors that I would consider. This time I wanted in order: Black, Silver, Green. The one I found that had everything I wanted was Black, so that's what I got.

Lighter colors are better for wheeling because they don't show the scrapes. In the future I would get Silver because of this. I'm not a white fan, but would get that over the Orange because it won't show the scratches as much. This is also a reason to not get the painted fenders. They won't look as got if they get scraped up. Of course, if they get thrashed, it's a good excuse to buy flat metal fenders.

Ballandchain 02-11-2012 11:57 PM

I try to always get a different color. So far I've owned 3 different shades of green, 2 silvers, redrock red, dark grey, white, black and this time I had to have Dozer....

Macsrul 03-19-2012 02:20 PM

For all the people who voted I officially now own the Rubicon Crush!! I love this Jeep!!:punk:
