I finally got some leave and will be going back home for the holidays. Home is about 8 hours away in Missouri so it aint that bad of a drive. We usually take my truck but just wanted to take the jeep this time..<---wife's idea and im good with it.

SHHHH.....pretty sure she had the family buy toys for it is the reason for that.:D

No such luck for me. It's 1200 miles from Phoenix to KC. I'll be riding in one of Southwest's rigs for the trip back next week. :D

Eh, it'll be alright. The rig will be happier with me leaving him at home in the garage rather than treking 2400 miles there and back. :D

I'll be drivin the heep to Alabama next week. My brother is coming in from L.A. and the wife has to work, so I'll be on my own to wheel it to Bama to see him.

I wish. Was planning on it but gas prices and daughters winter break dates didn't work out for me. 1800 round trip SC to Dallas. Did it in a Volvo S80 last spring, man what a ride. Averaged 30 mpg running 70 to 80 all the way. You guys travelling have a good, safe trip.

The heck with Christmas!! I'm waiting for the last two weeks of January, when I'll be driving my 2008 down to Florida from Connecticut. Now THAT'LL be a TRIP!!

Not worrying about the JK holding up...worried about the WIFE "holding up!"

I'm very satisfied with the way the Wrangler feels, considering the steps that Chrysler has taken to improve the "comfort" and "quiet" factors, so she should be fine.
