How to defeat clutch ignition interlock?

I tried the deal with putting the fuse in the dist. box, but don't want the 4wd light to be on, so how do you bypass or fool the switch. I tried the old school way of making a jumper and that didn't work. Any suggestions?
Thanks

All you should have to do for a TJ is pull a fuse in the box behind the glove box. Or maybe its insert a fuse can't recall right now but should be a 30sec mod.

Yeah, this is what I did on mine, and no 4x4 light, or any other issues...

Mines a 05 and I put the fuse in the box under the hood like the book said and it worked fine, just made the 4wd light come on. the book said "only do this with the vehicle in 4wd lo in extreme offroading situations", so I guess it's designed that way. Just makes me appreciate the simplicity of my 71 CJ. Looks like I'll be putting some of Uncle Sams electronics training to use this weekend.
Thanks for the replies.

That's new! In my '03, they didn't put that "idiot light" on the fuse for clutch defeat. Oh well, guess there are more idiots in the world today...

I also put a fuse in the spot under the hood for a while after I installed my remote starter. I couldn't stand the 4WD light being on so I pulled the fuse back out. Then I just went under the dash and found the switch in the clutch pedal. I pulled the connector apart and made a jumper just like you said you tried, but it worked fine for me.
