Finally! New wheels and tires mounted up

Sorry, only cell phone pics right now. Really happy with how they turned out. Currently have the pressure set at 33, but its a bit rough. Planning to do a chalk test this weekend. The tires look much more aggressive than I thought they would. Waiting on the Daystar bumpstops before I mount up the spare. These weigh in at ~86lbs according to UPS.

Hope to get better pics before too long.

It's amazing what new wheels and tires can do to change the look of a Jeep, very nice :thumb:

Love it. I have a similar setup 16" level 8 trackers with duratracs the same size as yours.

Yup, in about 1.5 hours and never took a tire off. :D

Your first photo, with the new front / old rear, pretty much tells the tale.

Sweet! :thumb:

Wondering about the sticker in the 2nd to last pic, though. Seems...unnecessary, somehow. :D

Haha. Yeah, that sticker is coming off. Not cause I have anything against JK-F, but just cause I've grown tired of that sticker. I am planning to add the Buskwacher corner "armor" (haha, armor my ass!), so I will also be pulling the WWII star from the passenger quarter. Plan is to replace it with a gloss black version on the "armor" itself. Should look pretty cool I think.

Speaking of stickers, I have also been thinking about something lately. I'm considering replacing the WWII stars on my hood stickers with just basic hyphens. Then, putting a much larger WWII star in the center of the hood. IDK about that yet....just thinking out loud. lol.

Also, here are a couple more pics just for the sake of posting them. lol

I was curious. I have never done any mechanical work on any of my vehicles and now with a jeep it looks like that's something I might have to start doing.

My opinion...the WWII star would look sweet on your rig. Can't pull it off with many of the colors, IMO, but silver? Oh yeah.

Just an observation, but it seems like your rig actually has a rake, AFTER the tire/lift install. And not before.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Think it has to do with the angle of the pic. Definitely not any rake to it when looking at it in person.

It looks level. Def no rake. If anything the front is a smidge higher.

Not as bad as mine though :(

kbwwolf 02-15-2012 08:13 PM

Kind've unsure, though, since I've seen photos from you that indicate you might be using an SLR (like a real man), rather than just a camera phone. Big difference. So maybe a matter of lens perspective, distance, angle, etc.

I'd swipe your photos off the web and open em in Photoshop and find out, but that's not possible off WF. To my knowledge, anyway. How's your rake?

Your shit's tilted like a black diamond ski run. Don't be a sissy...you can admit it. :D
