I think its the idler but wanna make sure before i go buy a new one

Yes that's a idler pulley, you will need to measure it there is a 3 and a 3 inch size

No problem. I just replaced 1 on mine, it may be different on the 6 cylinder (I have a 4 cylinder) but mine had the 2 different sizes to choose from

That's what she said... lol. Sorry I couldn't resist. Glad it's only the idler pulley you have to replace. Luckily those are the easiest ones in my opinion. Good luck.

It's only one bolt holding it on. I would take it with me to make sure the replacement is the same.

O'Reily's has it in their computer as the nonadjustable idler, instead of calling the other one a tensioner (the one under the power steering pump) they call it the adjustable one.

just bought both in the past week

Should this pulley be free and be able to spin by hand when no belt is on?

Yes, that pulley should spin freely when no belt is on.
