Door storage

Hi all,

Looking for the best ways to store my doors for the summer and came across some bags on quadratec. Does anyone have any recommendations or reviews??

Thanks!!

I got some brackets you mount on the wall that hang the doors by the hinges. If no one else posts it I'll look for a link when I get home. A search should find some home made hanging ideas as well.

ACE Engineering has these: Door Hangers

I have heard of people just using eye bolts screwed into the wall too.

That's what I was going to suggest. I haven't seen them installed, just saw them on their website and curious how they are.

This is what I went with. A little more $ than the ACE it looks like.

I will definitely be picking a set of these up for summer.

These are a GREAT idea. I'll definitely be getting these. I was dreading the idea of not taking the doors off with any regularity because of no good storage ideas for the doors. I'm super pumped now.

Any DIY home improvement/hardware store will have heavy duty hooks for hanging tools and such in your garage. Some are rated for a couple hundred pounds, more than enough to hang a couple doors off of.
They will probably cost less than $10.

I have the floor space in my garage for a dolly and copied a few I saw for sale:

I'm raising this thread from the dead.

I opted to go with a pair of SkinnyPedal.net door hangers for my Unlimited doors. I ordered from their website on October 4. It has been almost 3 weeks since then and I have recieved zero communication from them. I emailed twice and left 2 voicemails.

It was with a little trepidation that I even went with these guys because I did read about poor communication and slow processing of orders. But geez, three weeks is excessive.

Does anyone have inroads with these guys or another means of reaching them? I suppose I'll be calling my CC company soon to go ahead and end this relationship.

I'm bummed too because these look like a really cool storage option and I'd really like to use them.

X2 ! I was ready to order but now have to reconsider. I can't believe they don't realize how social Jeep owners are. A little communication on their part would go a long way, as it is they're just scaring away customers. Any updates?

Fortunately I did receive a shipment notification late Tuesday. They're scheduled to arrive tomorrow, which will be 3 weeks on the nose from order to receipt.

I'll do a review and installation write-up in my build thread.

I do not have a garage, just a tin shed. I would love a way to store the doors for my JKU for the summer. Ideas?

Another DIY Door hanger

Exactly what I did. Boom! Done! Cheap! It really is a great idea if you have an open wall in the garage.
