I placed my order for a black 4 door rubi on 2/6. My dealer called and gave me my vin# around 2/14. When I enter my info on VOTS it tells me there is no info available. Is this normal for that time frame.

I ordered on Sunday (2/12), rec'd the VON on Monday, VIN on Wednesday and was able to see the order in VOTS Thursday (2/16). I've read elsewhere that VOTS is not very accurate and calling directly will give you a more accurate status.

VIN=Vehicle Identification Number
VON=Vehicle Order Number

Duck Fan - I've read in other threads that calling 1-877-IAMJEEP is more accurate than VOTS. I have not called yet. Let me know if they help you out.
Realter, VON gets assigned as soon as your dealer placed the order; VIN is the unique # for your Jeep... every car has a VIN.

Thanks again craymond, I will give it a try and see what happens.

The VIN on our GM cars is a mile long and includes letters and numbers. The VIN in the Jeep is2 letters and 6 numbers. Anybody know the reasoning? Maybe Jeep just wants to keep it simple??

:dance: hi , first u get a von vehicle order number, then the factory will issue
a vin number then you get the various points of the build , call your sales
manager at ur dealer once a week they can get a little further in the system, also give jeep customer service a call 1-800-iam-jeep , also give
your email, u will be looking at 45 to 60 days, but when it comes in it will
be well worth the wait!!:thumb::thumb:
