I have a 2012 Rubicon unlimited and having been researching my mods this particular look , lift height and tire size interest me I've seen pics in jeep mags of 3.5" lifts flat fenders and 37" 's. I'm particularly interested in the Rock Krawler aluminum 2.5" mid arm. opinions? pics of this set up? or constructive criticism would be appreciated. :hide:

I'm not positive and definitely can be wrong (usually am), but I thought the 2.5" lift was only good for running up to 35's? Are you looking at the 2.5" or 3.5"?

I think on their web site Rock Krawler has a picture of a Jeep with the 2.5 Max Travel kit, 37s, and flat flares......think from what I read, the bump stops are key in keeping the tires out of the wheel wells.....call those guys up and talk to them, they are very helpful

Yeah, that combo would hint at all down travel... which isn't the best for street driving IMO. You hit a good bump and you will hit the bumpstop which will be very harsh.

its not good for street or trail driving. no up travel and a setup that rides practically at bump...... whats the advantage again?

If I recall, Lil Nemo is running 37s on a 3" lift with fender flats. It might not be ideal, but it sure looks nice.
Those are 17x9 ATX Slab Beadlocks. Looking at about $375 a piece for those suckers!

4fit thanks for the helpful thread this forum is the best! looks like with proper bumpstops, and 1 inch body lift, i can get away with 37" and 2.5" lift with some minor steering mods and of course flat fenders. I will be discussing this with the knowledgable folks at Rock crawler as my build starts.
