I don't really understand. It was tongue in cheek but also slightly serious. We haven't been wheeling in quite a while and I haven't seen any recent invites. The only time I have ever flaked was the AZ bunch and you KNOW I got stuck on the East Coast that weekend.

Took it to PM, Red.

Rawkon 12-18-2007 06:37 PM

I just got done moving to fullerton so my weekends have been unpacking. I havnt been out since pismo in early november.

Im trying to setup some snow wheeling this weekend. I know wayne and my dad want to go out. (dad has a Budget boosted 01 XJ) frank in the big green scout cant make it till sunday, but if my jeep and i are in one piece ill go out again on sunday.

pending on how good/bad the snow is would decide what trails we can run.
apparently the snow from the last storm hasnt melted much since the temps have been so low. which is good and bad, good news is theres snow bad news is theres Ice.

techniques on pulling us out? Yea me and Chuck are known for getting stuck. wheres the rolling of the eyes smiley???

Double G 12-19-2007 10:11 AM

I was up there the 1st snow and had to pull a tree from the John Bull trail, then the next weekend with about 12"to18" of snow led our group through Gold Myn. to remove a tree. It's not the snow that stops you, it's the ICE!!! If you start to turn a tire it would just ice up and all 4 would spin, ground clearance was my best helper, the jeeps that hit the rocks had trouble, and the ones with no lockers, well, I couldn't even pull them in the snow, I had to use my winch for them. It was cold, but I had a blast, lot's of fun!!

Rawkon 12-19-2007 11:25 AM

Hey Chuck im for sure gonna head up friday after work. Do you plan on being in big bear this weekend???

RedRubiTJ 12-19-2007 11:30 PM

Kevin, I will be up Saturday morning and will be staying overnight. I'm not sure whether or not I will be up for a trail ride on Sunday but ya never know.

Eric just left and he will be up there all weekend. He might (the Mrs may let him :D) be up for riding shotgun on a ride Saturday as they are driving up in the Honda.

What time and where Saturday?

emills 12-21-2007 10:02 AM

Welcome back forum!

I would absolutely love to go out with you guys this weekend - but this is the big family Christmas weekend in Big Bear with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins. I am still working on a way to sneak out for a bit to ride shotgun - but chances are very slim.

Eric

Yeah I know, but I decided to fly down at the last minute.
On another note, are ya coming to moab with us at the end of March? there should be atleast 13 other rigs going, it's going to be fawesome

Rawkon 01-03-2008 11:35 PM

i doubt it, I cant afford the trip with my fishing habit. i have way to many hobbies

MouthfulOfGrass 01-10-2008 05:42 PM

It's like the 2 worst hobbies to have for spending money, Jeeps & fishing. Only thing worse than fishing would be if you had a boat.

& it's nice having the local section up again.

SurfnSnow 01-10-2008 10:09 PM

Yeah I understand about having extra hobbies. Jeeping, snowboarding, and comic books take up my money. But Kev if ya can make it to Moab, that'd be cool

Talk about fishing. I just bought my 02 TJ and now I'm upgrading left and right. New tires cost $800, Light bar for the roof is $50 for a used one...and the lights will be about $150 or so for four of them. An OX locker for the front dana 30 is $1490 installed. On top of all of this....I just spent $650 on my 03' Seaswirl Striper 2101 WA. Two new marine batteries, new starter, topped all fluids, tightened all bolts and screws and repaired the anchor light. Fishing, Jeeping and Boating....talk about EXPENSES!

MrBash 02-20-2008 01:23 AM
