Hi i got a chiltons but temporarily cant find it yeah i know. I was wanting to know all of the tips to changing the slave cylinder. i know theirs 2 bolts and a pin.I know every one says it's just like bleeding brakes. but the thing is i have never done it. i will be installing tomorow with some pictures for you guys hopefully. its snowy here so i will be laying in snow. so any tips to make it faster would be GREATLY appreciated and to help. the reason i amreplacing is it was leaking a little bit and when i would press on the clutch it would get pressure than about 2/3 of the way down the pedal would like click or skip and get real spongy.thanks adam

What you are talking about is really called the clutch master cylinder. The slave cylinder being the throw out bearing.To replace it just unhook the lines and pedel. Then unbolt and remove.Then in stall the new one and bleed in with two people. On some cars for the clutch it's hard to bleed with out a vacume or pressure bleeder but on a tj you don't need one.:D

4.0l, are you sure about the verbage? I believe the clutch master cylinder is up by the brake master cylinder on the firewall, and the slave cylinder is what is underneath, usually on the bellhousing. I am currently not near my Jeep (about 25K miles away) otherwise I would go out and look.
