Front Brakes Lock Keep Locking Up

Hey guys....Is it possible for my front, right break locking up due to too much brake fluid in the resivore? It was under alittle bit so i put alittle bit more than required, but not much. And now when im in the city and i brake and go--brake and go eventually my brake will lock up and its so tight that it pulls to the right side so hard i almost slam into other cars and what not....I was also thinking the caliper can be getting stuck...I took my tire off and saw the brake drum but it was fine...I didnt get time to take off the caliper yet....and suggestions/

Your brake pads probably need replacing. Do they squeak, or grind, or make a grating sound when you hit the brakes? If the brake pads are in good shape, you may need to replace the caliper. I have had to replace a caliper before, not hard, and not that expensive, if you do it yourself.

Collapsed brake hose. The flex lines will do it.

Clean off your brakes (discs and calipers) with brake cleen - certain contaminants can boil under the heat of braking, causing a severe amplification of braking power (to where it's highly unpredictable in behavior). Then inspect all other brake sections to make sure you don't have any stuck calipers/wheel cylinders. If your fluid hasn't been changed for a while - probably a good idea to bleed everything.

I got my new calipers for $21.00 at that price I might just change them with the pads lol :)

Where'd you get them for $21 lol. Both my front brakes just locked up on me yesterday for some reason. I think it might be the mastercylinder but I might need new calipers too.

I'm in agreement with bluejeeps though for your situation.

it could be the pin that the floating part of the caliper slides on that is sticking

I agree here as well. i was told to sand them, then put white lithium grease on them and wipe off the excess with a rag

front passenger brake on my 03 Rubicon kept locking up, pulling to the side, overheating...finally had a smart mechanic doublecheck and realized the bearing hub was shot-with the heavy duty springs and heavy tires you couldn't feel or spot wobble-but it was making the brake rotor shimmy enough to hit the brake pads and overtheat them-then locking when used. Replaced the rotors twice before anyone caught it.
