Baltimore, MD 4x4 sites

Hey I'm wondering if anyone knows of any 4x4 trails in the baltimore area since today's conditions are looking like top down and some more top down and some cruising of course but I have yet to take Jedediah( my jeep) on some trails if not I'm sure I'll make one somewhere......

I started looking into the ORV pass for Assateague. I believe it's 90 for the year.Assateague Island Beach - Recreational Use

Plenty of potholes to conquer in the city.

Anyone's welcome to come trail in my front yard. No trees, but some steep hills.

Sooo I found a spot yesterday my friends were telling me about... It was off of 43 by middle river, it was mostly flat dirt and sand. I found one spot in there that had big puddles so I tried to enjoy them! They also had some huge hills to climb but was looking a little steep for me being my first time 4x4 ing if I had a lift and bigger tires maybe:/ anyways 4x4 scared me a bit due to being my first time, I had it it 2wd most of time just playing around running back and forth through puddles.., then I get brave and go through a big one and woundnt u know it I got stuck soooo i immediately put it in 4wd and got right out! Pulled over because my car was smoking from water and let it run couple min and shut off let it cool down, anyways im worried now because I don't want anything going wrong with my brand new jeep it's running fine but I'm going crazy trying to listen and find littlest things but overalls great time with me and my girlfriend just gonna be awhile till next time:/

Just looked it up. Yeah you can see some of the paths from satelite. I'd like to hear more about this. Sure looks well-used for a place that's not exactly legal to wheel. PM me some details if you can

rubicon05 03-21-2012 05:46 PM

Watch out, the cops like to hang out in the parking lots off 43. go on the rausch creek website fourm and look up when the next guided green or 101 class is. That will give you some insight on driving your jeep offroad. And its legal there...
