Bestop underseat box thumpy-thump fix

I was going to add some weatherstripping to the edge of the door, but found some scrap foam blocks in the garage.

Puts enough forward pressure on the drawer to keep it from thumping. And when I unlock the drawer, it also pops out a bit to make opening easier.

Hey man, I was looking at this box for my ccw should I ever need to stow it. Do you like it, is it worth 50 bucks? With your foam mod of course..

I bought one and its very well built and sturdy and heavy, imo, a good buy. however, it would not fit in my 2012 2dr, so it went on CL and sold right away. Wish I could find another. The Smittybuilt looks like it may fit, but doesnt look as sturdy nor functional.

Too bad you sold it. It would fit if you removed the bracket under the seat-I had to do this on my 2011 JKU

The 11 & 12 2 drs come with the slide and tilt seats, so there is a heavy horizontal bar running across the front of both seats. The ad said it would not work with these seats, but I didn't believe it and thot I could make it fit. Some have added 1 1/2 inches worth of spacers to add height, too much for me for safety reasons. The box will still fit all JKUs tho.

Looks like a great idea. I have one on it's way and will look into doing this to it.

I just bought a cheap roll of foam window insulation with one side adhesive at wal mart. Stuck it on the back end of the drawer. works great.
