New AEV Pintlers on 33's

Had these installed today and I'm loving them :D I do have the yellow center caps, but I'm trying the embossed Savegre caps first. I'd thought about going with the black wheels, but the Argent ones are pretty dark so I'm glad I decided on these. I think I can sit back now and actually enjoy my Jeep instead of trying to figure out the next mod.. (I hope ;) )

You're not working it right, man. Get the lift, then when they struggle to get in, say, "You know, maybe if we got some side steps..." :D

Nice looking rig. :thumb:

Nice looking rig. :thumb:

. my wife wants new tires/wheels. So I mentioned you have to at least have a leveling kit, or the new tires will rub.. Already installed the AEV 2" kit, months ago, still havent made the wheel purchase yet...

the wheels, look awesome with your yellow Rig..

Btwo 02-25-2012 05:58 PM

looks real nice...

4fit 02-25-2012 06:29 PM

Very nice. Never been a huge fan of any of the AEV wheels, but they sure work with your rig.:thumb:

Oh man I have the same color dozer but in a 4 door and I'm waiting for the black pintlers to arrive, that looks real good! what size tires are those? can you buy the center caps seperate? do the yellow ones kinda match the dozer color? so many questions lol

Disraeli 04-18-2012 11:40 PM

Those are SWEET!

I already feel like a poseur 'cause I know I'm going to show up six months from now with your set up and you'll be like "been there done that".

JKralph 04-18-2012 11:49 PM

Looks great! I'm fond of the pintlers, just didn't (and still don't :() have the funds for my own rig...

Love your Rubi! I Personally like the yellow centercaps and a 1 1/2 inch lift with the 33s.

No rubbing with 33"s without a lift?

Wharfrat 04-19-2012 10:18 AM

Gorgeous. I plan on running these wheels myself in a couple/few months.

The yellow doesn't match at all, but it still looks OK. I bought the black Saverge caps which my wife prefers so I'll stick with them. The tires are 285/70/17 KM2's.

No rubbing with these wheels and no lift.

volfo 04-19-2012 01:58 PM

Your tires / wheels look fantastic! Do you mind to tell me what size wheel that is (16"?) and the exact size and brand tire you have on it that is giving you no rubbing? I would really appreciate it!

I bought a stock sport and want to replace the wheels and tires with the biggest I can safely get with no rubbing. I don't intend to do any serious off-roading, but I do hunt logging roads and occasionally have to get off even those logging roads on our lease for recovery. I like the Argent look as I have been torn between black and silver. I think those exact wheels would look really nice on my black 2 door.

volfo 04-19-2012 02:00 PM

and yes, I've read hte biggest I can safely fit on a stock with no lift post and found it very useful, but it also wasn't clear if it was talking about the stock wheels, etc. when it was talking about no lift. Other posts indicate that you can go with a slightly bigger tire even if you don't lift IF you do replace the stock wheels. I have the 16 inch steel throw-aways and can replace with whatever wheel I like that will allow maximum tire size with no lift.

thanks!

M5ivan : think you could take some front/rear shots? id like to see how much they stick out past the fenders.

twalton: 1.5 lift? who makes that? is it a leveling kit?

twalton 04-20-2012 05:23 AM

mopar 18/59 springs and bilstein gas shocks. my stock springs were 14/55.

This will give you an idea. They don't stick out much, but it's noticeable.

mgola27 04-20-2012 10:57 AM

I'd love me some Argent Pintlers and 33s. I toyed with going with some black MB72s or BR 909s, but the more I look at them, the less I like the look. To me, the Pintlers have that OEM-ish look, but still different. Plus, the better backspacing from the stock wheels opens the doors up to more tire choices like the KM2s or the DuraTracs.

I just got to have that money tree start blooming. :)

Love it, man. Looks real nice.

megalex 04-20-2012 03:49 PM

man that's just perfect!
