Looking for a rear liner/mat that works with the rear seats folded down

This girl rolls with me everyday to work and most other places, and she likes having room to walk around. I do not want her to trip in the gap between the rear cargo area and the rear seats when folded down.

Does anyone make a cargo mat that works with the seats up and when they're folded? If not, what is the best mat for when the seats are folded down?

Thanks

Nice Lotus Exige. :D

The vehicle to the right looks like a Volvo V70.

That looks like a good one. Comes in black too, I see.
It doesn't have holes for the cargo loops on the floor, but that's a very easy modification.

I ordered a hatchbag thats being made for the Jeep. The color options are pretty ugly but the product protects the side walls of the Jeep as well from claw marks and the like.

Should arrive in the next week or so.

Picture two of these in the back of your Jeep stomping around. The way my Jeep jumps around and wobbles with them in it you'd think I had one of those hooptys in a rap video.

Mine is a big 115lbs german shepherd named Bruce. Great dog but he's a long coat shepherd so he sheds like... a dog who sheds a lot?

We had an amazing Shepherd named Boru for 12 amazing years. I miss him but we DON'T miss that shedding!

With the Canvasback, what do you place down in the gap so our four legged friends don't trip in the depression?

dalearyous 02-29-2012 07:30 AM

no the dog in the OP

I have 2 Great Danes at 130 a piece and use the Canvas Back liner. It is pretty great. It covers the gap, cleans up easily, works with the folding sears and also has side panels to cover the carpet over your wheels. It also allows you to still access the storage bin under the rear floor. It was about 180 all said and done for the cover plus sides.

I highly recommend it.

The quality of the Canvas Back products is very good. We had this same product from our 2010 Outback that I repurposed for our 2011 JKU. While not a perfect fit, it does the job. The velcro is very strong - even with the LATCH loop from a kids seat going over the seatback, eliminating a few catch points for the velcro, ours never falls down.

I would even gander that if you got on the phone or e-mailed with the owners with measurements for the cargo tie-downs (or even the LATCH hooks), they'd actually custom cut them for you.

They made cuts for the cargo tie-downs for the set we got for the Outback - we needed those to be always accessible for the dog gate brackets. I sent them some specific pictures of the cut out area and spent about 10 mintues on the phone reviewing measurements. They were very willing to help out in order to make a sale.

I can be laughed at later, but will admit we have the "Hawaiian" print. It's actually not too bad - and is a great compromise for significant other mod-$ negotiations.

You know your cars. It is a V70R - best highway car I've ever been in.

No need for a winch on your Jeep. Those monsters could pull you out of anything lol :)

Do the dogs "sink" into the gap when they step on it? I would hate to have to throw out the anchor at highway speeds and have the dog get hurt by catching her leg in the gap.

Don't have anything to add about the liner or pad for the rear.
I just wanted to say how impressed I was with Hidrorayo and his car spotting abilities.
