33x12.5x15 wheel and tire prices

Would these be good prices for this set up does anyone know where I could find all 5 cheaper? Of either wheel or tire?

JK-Uknowit 02-28-2012 07:16 AM

If that is from DTD, and it looks like it is, then you're pretty well set. You'll get a discount for being a WF member and of you join Tread Lightly, you get another discount PLUS Tread Lightly will send you a $100 rebate for buying Goodyear tires. I just sent off for mine last week.
PM DTD and have them run a total for you. I wasn't able to beat it. I do have a DT in my area and thanks to Matt at DTD, went there and they price matched EVERYTHING and I got my TPMS transferred to my new tires (same as what you're looking at) for $7.50 a tire and they remounted my old tires so I could sell them.
If you don't have a DT in your area, then DTD is the way to go IMO. I'm sure others will chime in on the subject.
Good luck!

Sounds like a great deal! I finally decided to go with a 15" because of the rediculous price difference I was about to pay this for 3 tires and wheels, 5 for less then 1600 DEAL!

Rabuck 02-28-2012 07:31 AM

After I get these wheels and tires I know the 15" is a close fit but will I need anything else for complete and correct assembly I.e. spare? Or other little things to help stay durable?

kjeeper10 02-28-2012 07:36 AM

Rear bump-stop for the tailgate :)

Rabuck 02-28-2012 07:41 AM

Thanks I'll be adding it to the list

That is the setup I was originally going to go with. Changed my mind because I think they stick out a bit too far. The 15" Tracker has one of the shallowest backspaces out there at 3.32". However, if you like the look and don't mind the Jeep being covered in road grime, mud, salt, etc, go for it. They are definitely a good looking wheel!

You can see some pics of that combo installed in this thread.

At first I minded but I love the wheel for the price and I also love the stance but -30 offset is debatable do u know a site with more 15x8 5x5? I was considering the soft 8 with -12 offset I could only find wheels to fit on this site even quadratec only had 17" in 2012 a long with other sites the bolt pattern wouldn't match up

Yeaaa that's where I jacked the idea lol

JK-Uknowit 02-28-2012 08:10 AM

I got the Black Rock Vipers. 3.75 back spacing, -19. I like the stance. Here is a bad cell phone pic.

Unfortunately, the 15" wheel selection for the JK is pretty slim. Here is a listing from DTD of all the 15" wheels they guarantee to fit the JK.

The 15" wheels linked below are all guaranteed to fit stock without any spacers or modifications to the brakes.

Also, there have been a few reports and pics now confirming that the new Fuel Revolver wheel fits the JK. It is a very good looking wheel (not a fan of that center cap tho), but a bit pricey.

FWIW, I picked up my 16" setup for less than the price given to you for that 15" Tracker setup. However, I did go with the Falken Rocky Mountains over the Duratracs (DTs were $70 more PER TIRE!).

Thats what I was thinking KJ!

Those do look nice.

Black??

KrawlOff-Road.com 02-28-2012 09:12 AM

Not to throw a wrench into anything but we do that package for $1514.20 shipped. Just saying but we would have to order in the wheels. We only have 1 in stock right now...

You wont have much issues with this setup on the JK. You could use the Daystar tailgate bumps or upgrade the carrier to a aftermarket one. Either way, this setup with the aluminum wheel is lighter than most setups. So, your tailgate will thank you!

Will the 12.5 width seat correctly on a 15x8 wide wheel? Seems kind of drastic?

No problem at all. Tons of people run that setup.

Check out ESP's thread for tons of examples. That thread is dedicated to "the combo", which is 15x8 MB72s on 33x12.5x15 Duratracs.

You can also check out MTH's thread on his Black Rock 909 setup, which is also 15x8 on 33x12.5x15 DTs.
