$35 to protect $90 of lamps? I have run trails, deep water, mud, and rocks, my issue is that the bulb gets wet and explodes. I have stopped running my fog lights when offroading.

Anyone notice that the replacement bulb from Mopar is actually $8 more than the entire lamp with a bulb? Sorry to hijack the thread, has anyone found another source for the fog bulb?

I've got some on my turn signal lights and rear taillights. Solely for looks...they aren't really gonna protect the lights much.

Don't have em on my fogs, since they're in my aftermarket bumper (I wasn't sure if they'd still fit).

There's been some debate on those. I really don't think they protect much. You can get a replacement bulb for $18 if you eventually need one. Check kbw's link.

Thanks KB, found that right after I posted, two are on the way. One for backup.

I have them on mine, but I did all my lights with the black guards. I like the look against the tan paint. They fit Great and are easy to install.

thanks for the pic. do they install with 3M tape?

none of the light guards on my Wrangler were installed with tape. They were either screwed in, held on with clips around the lens, or fit behind the plastic casing around the light.

This was actually my same question. I would sway away from them if they were held with 3M tape. That's a bit tacky, no pun intended...

These are the RUGGED RIDGE set that you're referring to, correct? This is probably my next purchase, or the MBRP grille light bar. Right around same price...

i did read the install sheet on these. best to remove the air dam to make the install easy?
