TJ Cruise Control

Pulling the cruise off my 00 TJ. $200 plus the blanks from your steering wheel. Plus shipping. Tested and works.

I'll sell you my blanks for $15 shipped

Did you pull the the steering wheel and pull the clock spring? It will be required on the jeep that is receiving the cruise. You would have to trade clock springs with the buyer or get another one. I'm interested and I'm about 90 miles west of you.

Did not know and was not aware of that. Didn't go that indepth. Come on over and we can do a swap.

Pull your blanks and see if your wired. From what I read it is possible yours has everything prewired since it is a 02

No wire behind my blanks. I didn't pull the airbag. I'm on the road part of this week. Not totally sure your cruise will work on my jeep. Do you have a manual trans?

lightnin 03-04-2012 08:10 PM

Yes I have a Manual Trans. Do you have the plug under the hood?

smccollamjr 03-04-2012 08:22 PM

You need to be careful, just because the switches look the same year to year they are not. You need to check the part numbers on the switches and make sure they will work for your year. If the switch part numbers are the same and you have the plug under the master cylinder you can do the parts swap in about an hour if you have a steering wheel puller.

We are trying to figure everything out. Hopefully it will work. Didn't realize they were so vehicle specific.

Remus, The plug for the cruise is not under the plastic blanks. It is under the airbag. There are jumper wires that go to the plugs. I was curious if you had the plug under the hood.

Where do we check part numbers.

Bump

smccollamjr 03-14-2012 10:45 PM

The part numbers are on the switches.
