leak from front section of master cylinder reservoir

After filling the front reservoir of my91 yj. I checked the bottom of the jeep and noticed there was a leak near the catalytic converter. Does the break line run thru that path?

Can't recall but if there is brake fluid running onto the ground.....best to get under there and take a look.......

the smaller front section of the reservoir powers the rear brakes
check your hard line along the inside of the driver side frame rail

I checked the driver side, but the leak is coming from below the passenger side. Below the seat.

that sounds more like the tranny or transfer case is leaking

Would the tranny or transfer case be leaking brake fluid?

Keep an eye on your clutch master fluid level if you have a manual trans. There are no brake lines in that area.

Which area? I do have MT. It is instantaneous.when I pour in break fluid.. the front section on the reservoir leaks out.

ohhhhhhhh..... there are no brake lines under the passenger seat area, you may have a broken line where it goes over the transmission skid plate (driver's side frame rail) that's coming out of the skid on the passenger's side.

Ok thanks for that.. I will poke my head under there tomorrow and see if that's the issue, but sure sounds like it.

Brentd, pretty much as you said it.. the leak was from the break line and dripped through the skid plate.
