Dunlop Mud Rover Q?

I just ordered a set of 30x9.50 Mud Rovers for my TJ and was wondering if anyone else has used or wheeled with these tires?
I mainly do light wheeling and plan on taking a trip to Black Mountain this year on a trail ride. I just want to make sure the Jeep is up to the task and hope these tire will do better then the crappy Goodyears lol.

i just got those in a 35 2 weeks ago, havent got to wheel them yet but their quiet on the highway (quiet to me, but i had swampers before them) ride nice and are good in the rain

Haven't run em on a four wheel drive, but I used to run them on the back of my baja bug and they did pretty well offroad.

Seem like they have a soft compound, should have them mounted friday so I will give them a proper testing lol

I had them in 31's on my old lifted ZJ. Wheeled them 1 time before a tree fell on it. I had no problums keeping up with my some well built rigs on 35's. Good on the street, snow, and mud. I would buy them again.

Got em on early! Seem to ride really nice, some sidewall flex and noise. Should be trying them out saturday on the farm to see how well they grip.

I wheeled in Baja, Mexico over Thanksgiving week 2011 with this Jeep, and he did GREAT! http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...35745031_n.jpg

Not a single tire failure. In Baja, you can't second guess your tire selection.http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...93939903_n.jpg

This shows the true test of the tire - lateral stability.

Here, my worn TrXus MTs slid like crazy. I had no control! The Dunlops and the MTRs did just fine.

He slipped just a little bit here, but so did everyone else on the trip.

^^^^ Nice pics!
My last set were the Mud Rovers and I have no complaints. They do sing on the highway, especially once they start to wear, but that doen't bother me.

I agree...awesome pictures! I had some on my last TJ before I traded it. I can't complain about the tires at all! I think you made a good choice.

Wheeled mine for the first time today, did very well, even though I didn't air down

luke03tj 03-11-2012 09:21 PM

Took them for a trial run today and the done great! Plenty of bite in the mud and even on a some rock ledges I tried to climb, really need a locker now. Im going to Black Mountain this spring so I will really see how well they perform on a good trail ride.
