New and need help
I'm 18 and I just traded my dad my 2006 black Nissan frontier for his 2008 black jeep wrangler, and for my graduation present I want new wheels(black) and tires, but I don't have or want a lift, and I am completely clueless on where to look and what to look for. I'll be going to college on the coast of South Carolina, it's about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from home so a good bit a driving when I go back and forth. I also don't plan on doing to much off roading but I'll do some. Anything yall can help with would awesome.

if you dont want a lift you will be looking at 33' and below tires.. I like my BFG A/T's a lot.. they are great for the road and very good off road. if your not going to be off roading say for once in a blue moon and just want the look of bigger tires and the black rims.. buy some street 32-33' tires and rhino line your rims black.. best bang for your buck and looks good. street tires will get your through easy trail rides and im sure your not looking to do anything crazy so you will be fine. save your money for college my friend trust me.

Rhino line? Really? That's interesting, and I was wanting some all terrains bc I like the look a lot better than street tires.

yeah, search it on the site many many people have done it before, looks nice.. BFG AT are my fav, last a long time on the road and do very well offroad.. :) its what i use

I would go for 31" Good Year Duratracs or BFG A/Ts. I would go for the 31s instead of 33s since you'll be doing a lot of highway driving. I also prefer the Duratracs but thats pretty much up to you. Or can even use General Grabber AT2s. What i currently have. Can get them a lot cheaper than the other two. Very well onroad and good for occasional/light offroading. Check out, you can get new tires/wheels shipped to your door.

Welcome aboard. I would stay with a AT tire and 33" for best mileage.

There are several options for painting your wheels. I would suggest that you first try plasti-dip spray. If you don't like the finished look, you can peel it off. Bed liner will be heavier and textured, it will stain and be a little more difficult to keep clean. Krylon will also work for a smoother finish but tends to chip/scratch.

As far as tires go, as mentioned above the GoodYear Duratrac are a great street/trail tire that will give you a smooth and relatively quiet ride with an agressive look.

I used rust-o-leum truck bed liner and a clearcoat to help smooth it out more and protect from chips / cracks... if you go on they have very very good rattle can rim paint.

Welcome.. Take a look at ION Alloy's in black w/ crome bead lock look. I have BFG KM2"s , they look good but pull better....

BFG's are hard to beat.
